Intimate house music session at Kite Surf Café Rhyl – 5 June 2026

Drift Radio returned to Kite Surf Café in Rhyl on Friday 5 June 2026 for a more intimate evening of house music, bringing people together for a relaxed session in the venue’s back room.

Running from 5pm until 10pm, the event offered a different experience from the larger outdoor terrace sessions, creating a warm and welcoming environment where the focus was firmly on quality music, good company, and an atmosphere that perfectly suited the venue.

A different side of Kite Surf Café

While Kite Surf Café is well known for its beachfront location and stunning sea views, this event showcased another side of the popular Rhyl venue.

Hosted in the back room, the evening provided a cosy full-venue listening environment where guests could settle in, enjoy drinks with friends, and immerse themselves in carefully selected house music throughout the night.

The smaller setting allowed for a more personal atmosphere, making it the ideal space for people who appreciate great music without the intensity of a larger club environment.

House music, familiar classics and feel-good grooves

Providing the soundtrack for the evening were Drift Radio DJs:

  • Gabe Collier
  • Kev Allen
  • Craige Bowles

Throughout the session, the DJs delivered a blend of warm house grooves, familiar vocal tracks, uplifting melodies, and timeless dance music favourites.

The music was carefully selected to complement the relaxed bar atmosphere, creating an enjoyable soundtrack that encouraged conversation, connection, and appreciation for quality electronic music.

From deep and soulful sounds to recognisable house classics, the evening offered something for both dedicated dance music fans and casual listeners alike.

Bringing people together through music

One of the things that makes the Kite Surf Café sessions special is their ability to bring together people from different backgrounds through a shared love of music.

The relaxed setting encouraged guests to stay, socialise, and enjoy the evening at their own pace. Rather than focusing on a high-energy dancefloor experience, the event centred around creating a comfortable environment where music enhanced the atmosphere and brought people together.

Events like these continue to demonstrate the growing appetite for quality electronic music events across Rhyl and the wider North Wales region.
