Drift Radio brings sunset sounds to Kite Surf Café Rhyl – 2 May 2026

Drift Radio kicked off the summer season in style at Kite Surf Café in Rhyl on Saturday 2 May 2026, bringing an evening of house and electronic music to one of the most scenic beachfront locations on the North Wales coast.

Set against the backdrop of Rhyl’s stunning coastline, the event ran from 5pm until 10pm, with music flowing throughout the evening as visitors enjoyed food, drinks, and spectacular sea views. As the sun began to set over the Irish Sea, the atmosphere perfectly captured the laid-back coastal vibe that makes these beach sessions so special.

Beachfront music and sunset views in Rhyl

Located directly on the promenade, Kite Surf Café has become one of the best places in Rhyl to relax and watch the sunset. With Drift Radio’s sound system set up outdoors, guests were treated to a carefully selected soundtrack of house music, electronic grooves, uplifting melodies, and feel-good summer anthems.

The combination of warm weather, beachfront views, and quality music created the perfect setting for an evening by the sea. Whether visitors stopped by for a drink after work, met friends for sunset cocktails, or stayed for the entire session, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

DJs providing the soundtrack

Keeping the music flowing throughout the evening were Drift Radio DJs:

  • Kev Allen
  • Philicous D
  • Daniel Farley
  • Mathew Hall
  • MC Craig
  • Lew Clarke

Each DJ brought their own style to the decks, creating a journey through house and electronic music that complemented the changing atmosphere from daylight through to dusk and into the evening.

Bringing dance music to the North Wales coast

The Drift Radio Kite Surf Café sessions are all about creating memorable experiences by the coast. Rather than a traditional club environment, these events focus on bringing people together in a relaxed and welcoming setting where great music, good company, and beautiful surroundings take centre stage.

As daylight faded and the sun dipped below the horizon, the music continued into the evening, creating a unique beachside atmosphere rarely found elsewhere along the North Wales coastline.

Events like these highlight Drift Radio’s commitment to supporting local venues, showcasing talented DJs, and creating opportunities for people to enjoy quality electronic music in unique locations.
