Funky house and sunset sounds at Kite Surf Café Rhyl – 26 June 2026

The summer sessions continued at Kite Surf Café in Rhyl on Friday 26 June 2026 as Drift Radio returned to the terrace for another evening of great music, incredible scenery, and a fantastic crowd on the North Wales coast.

Running from 5pm until 10pm, the event brought together beachgoers, local residents, and dance music fans for a relaxed evening filled with familiar house anthems, funky grooves, and disco-inspired sounds as the sun slowly set over the Irish Sea.

Another busy evening on Rhyl’s popular beachfront terrace

With warm weather and clear skies, the terrace at Kite Surf Café was busy throughout the evening, creating a lively but laid-back atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the venue’s summer events.

People gathered to enjoy drinks with friends, take in the coastal views, and experience a soundtrack that perfectly matched the setting. The combination of music and scenery once again proved why these sessions have become a popular part of Rhyl’s summer entertainment calendar.

As daylight turned to dusk, guests were treated to another spectacular sunset, providing the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to quality house music.

House classics, funky rhythms and disco flavours

Providing the music for the evening were:

  • Craige Bowles
  • Gabe Collier
  • Kev Allen
  • Daniel Farley

The DJs delivered a varied selection of sounds, blending familiar house favourites with funky basslines, uplifting disco-house records, and warm electronic grooves.

The musical direction reflected the feel-good spirit of a summer evening by the sea, with timeless tracks sitting comfortably alongside deeper selections and contemporary house music influences.

The result was a soundtrack that encouraged people to relax, socialise, and enjoy every moment of the evening.

Sunset sessions that define summer in North Wales

One of the highlights of the Kite Surf Café events is the unique atmosphere created as the sun begins to set across the coastline.

The golden evening light, the sound of the sea, and a carefully curated selection of house music combine to create experiences that are distinctly different from traditional nightlife events. The sessions celebrate music in a more relaxed environment, where people can enjoy great company and discover new sounds while surrounded by some of North Wales’ most beautiful scenery.

The 26 June event captured that spirit perfectly, delivering another memorable night for everyone who attended.

Drift Radio remains committed to supporting local venues and creating opportunities for people to come together through electronic music.
